aye, i've read all the stuff on the other forum about the terrors of ZBrats. i kinda laughed at your horror stories.
then i walked into a room, turned around, and fell out the door, dead.
well, you know what they say, you've gotta see it to believe it.

seriously, ow!

heh. i accidentally hit forward twice instead of turning to avoid it, and went into the zbrat room again.
Ow.

Bearing in mind also that I can hardly survive level 6. Hell, level 5 is dangerous enough, I've only explored tiny cilantro bits of level 6.

Aren't they great?

I had *no* idea that it's possible to die so fast. I was heading home after a fine day in level 6. Thinking that all the rooms were cleared, I typed my normal route sequence (i.e. running toward the stairs really fast), but all of a sudden I'm not going anywhere. Because I was dead, without knowing what hit me. mordor/not_ok.gif

My other 2 characters had to draw straws to see who gets to go grab character 1's body.

Wait till you run into golden eagles for the first time, all I can say is my party of 3 at around level 150 to 230 lasted about a round

WoD works great against them. They have just 25 HP on average IIRC, but they have 300/1 a/d, and come in groups of around 50+, so you gotta be really careful. 1 WoD can take out 48 of them out in 1 round, so 2 of them should do the trick.

Would a character who could cast WoD at a reasonable spell cost still need to be scared of a bunch of ZBrats, though? Or did you mean use an item that can cast WoD?

well, i paid the cilantro bastards back. i managed to make it to the room with nearly full health (230), walked in, cast WoD (spell level 22, cost: 178 sp) and killed most of em
then i beat the stuffing out of the rest, walked out with 40 hp left.
take that, you pepper paste fiends! mordor/w00t.gif

oddly enough, my warrior (who was the first character i had to run into them) didn't die from them, then later on i wiped the floor with them with magic pretty easily. I still laugh at your zbrat horror stories mordor/devil.gif

Either 1. If you're about to die, then it's worth casting WoD from a character even if it costs a lot of SP. It's either you die and age or just spend some SP that can easily be regained.

hmm u didn't seem to mention a 2.

anyway anything can be a threat in certain cases it would have to depend on the shape your in.

Waffles: your spelling is beginning to look almost normal. That's a bad sign...

I believe that makes you what we like to refer to as a bunny killer. Hanging around at higher levels killing wimps way after the time you are capable of delving deeper mordor/bleh.gif

EDIT: I think you need to go and learn to FEAR THE BUNNY

Zbrats are tough, yes, but I see, that most players on this forum have Great Levels. I don't have any problems with these cilantro cute ZBrats. I just don't understand.
BTW. I'm new on forums, but not new on Mordor

Hi Piwo, welcome to the boards

Most of us don't fear the cilantro devils anymore, but we did when we first met them, even worse than my first minotaur (I knew there was something in the middle of that spiral, bugger)
